AdiumX is a poor, i would say, no replacement at all. I know that a few Fire-coders changed to Adium. Maybe this will help, but i don't have high hopes.

The Fire 2.0beta is working very well on my system. I will use it as long as possible. And showing some Adium-users the 2.0beta - two already switched, well knowing, that Fire won't be developed anymore. But at the moment, it's simply the best choice for a multi IM app on OS X (and with halfway IRC support).</description>
